The Town of Milton is recognizing National Drowning Prevention Week, from July 20 to 26, with a series of free events to promote water safety and lifesaving skills in the community.

Organized annually by the Lifesaving Society, the week raises awareness about drowning prevention and the importance of safe water practices.

Lifesaving competition

A free, registered event for past participants of the Town’s Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross programs. Participants will take part in rescue simulations to refresh their lifesaving skills.

Swim to Survive lessons

Free 30-minute lessons for new or inexperienced swimmers to build confidence and learn basic survival skills in the water. Registration is required.

Lifesaving educational Fair

Learn lifesaving skills from trained lifeguards, including how to call 911, perform CPR on adults and infants, and throw an aid with a line.

Free fun swims

Free fun swim sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each session is one hour to allow for multiple groups of participants.
