Milton Transit will introduce several service enhancements beginning Sept. 8, 2026, including a new route serving the Fifth Line corridor, updates to School Extra routes, and adjustments to select transit routes and schedules. 

The changes will improve service, support growing communities, and help customers travel more efficiently across Milton. 

Route 31 – Fifth Line  

Milton Transit will launch Route 31 – Fifth Line, providing new transit service along the Derry Green Corporate Business Park during weekday peak periods. 

The route will operate as follows: 

  • Morning service: 5:22 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. 

  • Afternoon and evening service: 2:25 p.m. to 7:03 p.m. 

School Extra service updates 

Several School Extra routes will be updated for the 2026-27 school year to better align with school schedules and locations. 

Route and schedule changes will affect the following routes: 

  • Route 50 – Milton District High School 

  • Route 51 – St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School 

  • Route 52 – Craig Kielburger Secondary School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School 

  • Route 53 – Elsie MacGill Secondary School 

  • Route 54 – Craig Kielburger Secondary School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School 

  • Route 53A, servicing Milton District High School, will be renumbered as Route 55. 

  • A new Route 56 will be introduced to serve Elsie MacGill Secondary School. 

Milton GO Station updates 

To improve operations within the Milton GO bus terminal, stops for select routes will change: 

  • Routes 9A and 9B will move from Stop #2203 (outside loop) to Stop #2169 (inside loop). 

  • Routes 2E and 2W will move from Stop #2169 (inside loop) to Stop #2203 (outside loop). 

New stop identification numbers will also be introduced for stops located within the bus loop.  

Schedule adjustment – Route 1  

Minor schedule adjustments will be made to Route 1 – High Point to improve route efficiency.
