Public service announcement

Registered candidates and individuals interested in running in the upcoming municipal election are encouraged to register for a virtual information session taking place on Aug. 8, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.

Designed for anyone considering the position of Mayor, Regional or Local Councillor, and English or French School Board Trustee, the information session provides an overview of campaign finance rules, legislative requirements, voting methods and the election sign by-law.

Information session agenda

  • Presentation by representative of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing:  Information and resources about candidate’s financial, legislative requirements, including roles and responsibilities, eligibility, election finances, fundraising and advertising
  • Presentation by Town staff: Information and resources about election sign regulations, voting methods and important dates
  • Q & A
