Milton Town Council
Councillors are elected by the residents of the Town for a four-year term. Town Councillors represent each of the four Town wards and are responsible for making decisions around issues pertaining to Milton. Regional Councillors represent each of the four Town wards and in addition to being members of the Town Council, they also represent Milton as members of Halton Regional Council.

Biography |
Councillor John Challinor II has served as a local councillor for 19 years, helping to develop Milton’s growth plan in the 1990s and doing so again today while ensuring the Town delivers core services to taxpayers. He is focused on balancing the fiscal requirements of the Town with taxpayers’ ability to pay, core service delivery and creating a community where all want to live, work and play. |
Work and volunteer experience |
Principal, Given Road West Communications; former Executive for 35 years in Canada’s technology and consumer health industries. Over 53 years, has volunteered locally with Milton Historical Society, St. Paul’s United Church, Hope Place Centre Alcohol/Drug Rehabilitation Facility, Community Foundation of Halton North, Milton Rotary Club, Milton Millennium Community Residences, Lieutenant-Colonel Chris Hadfield Bursary Fund, Milton Cancer Society, Milton 125th & 150th Committees, Milton Community Day, Canada Day, Milton Millennium Committee |
